This weekend is setup to be the first big weekend for boxing following “The One” mega event in Las Vegas that happened 2 weeks ago. It was set as a triple header that would span across California, Canada, and the UK. All three featuring home town heroes as Julio Chavez Jr., Andonis Stevenson, and Tyson Fury were set to do battle against tough weathered opponents. The UK fans will now have to wait. Tyson Fury was set to face off in another heavyweight battle against allied Brit David Haye. The two always have a lot to say outside if the ring making it very interesting to see if they would put up or shut up. The fight was highly anticipated by an always growing boxing crowd on the UK scene. The fight was going to be televised here in the US on Showtime but was scheduled in the UK for pay per view. In addition to the proposed high ppv numbers the stage was set at the 30,000 plus Manchester Arena with tickets being sold out. Although pictures have circulated of the cut Tyson Fury still believes this to be a ploy by Haye. Haye has been known to do this right before big fights. This us Fury had to say about the delay. “We totally disbelieve the injury situation and think they’ve pulled a fast one by getting the fight postponed. I am the man and when I beat Haye I think it could be his last fight.” Haye can run but he certainly cannot hide. The fight is now set to take place at the same venue on February 8. Fight fans beware this fight could get ugly as Fury has now stepped up his fury for David Haye.

About robbase2324

I am a writer for The Heavy Bag where I cover the sport of boxing. I started liking the sport every since I could walk. I grew up watching the great fighters with my dad like Sugar Ray, Hector Camacho, Chavez Sr. to name a few early fighters I watched. My biggest influences are Roy Jones Jr., Oscar de La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather, and Parnell Whitaker. I started freelance writing for The Heavy Bag in November. I have many articles on the site covering Jonathan Banks, Gamboa and 50 Cent, Alfredo Angulo, and Hammerin Hank Lundy. I do extensive research before I write on a particular subject before I write my articles. A lot of work us very fact based and I touch subjects in the fighters life that make up them as a person.
